Clinical Genetics workforce reports

The state of the Clinical Genetics workforce of the UK is of key professional concern to the society, particularly due to concerns about the unsustainability of the workforce in future, and the inability of Clinical Genetics services to meet the requirements of the populations they serve. The workforce group of the CGS council has produced the following reports to inform discussions around workforce planning:

Royal College of Physicians specialty-specific census for Clinical Genetics

In collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), we have also designed Clinical Genetics specialty-specific questions to be asked within the RCP UK census of physicians relating to specialty and associate specialist doctors. This is an ongoing mechanism through which we will collate relevant data for our specialty:
