Statement on the history of the UK eugenics movement
The Clinical Genetics Society endorses the statement of the Royal College of Physicians on the history of the UK eugenics movement and acknowledges the historical link between that movement and the society's founder Cedric Carter. For this reason, the previous tradition of the Carter Medal and Carter Lecture were renamed the CGS Medical and CGS Lecture.
