On Thursday 7th June 2018, NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) we will be hosting 'Genetics Research Matters: Training and Development Event' in London.

The event is being designed with Trainees/Registrars and Research Nurses in mind. We are looking to promote and showcase the brilliant work that is being undertaken in genetics research in the UK, and to look at ways we can promote involvement and engagement in high-quality research.

Over the course of the morning there will be a Genetics Study Showcase, speakers from SWAN UK and a session on ethics and genetics research.

After lunch, there will be a 'Research Pathway Session' aimed more specifically at Trainees/Registrars. Here you will be able to find out more about study support, publishing your research and how to apply for funding.

Confirmed speakers include Professor Michael Parker, Dr Gillian Borthwick, Dr Neil Ryan, Professor David van Heel plus many more.

The event is free and places are limited to a first come, first served basis. If you would like to attend, please email  eleanor.anderson@nihr.ac.uk with your name, role and any dietary or accessibility requirements.
